By far the most common in-car Bluetooth application is the wireless mobile phone headset. These allow you to have telephone conversations without holding your phone, by connecting a small headset via Bluetooth to the mobile. More modern headsets include voice dialling and other features to allow you to remotely control your phone.
Some car manufacturers now offer Bluetooth kits pre-installed in cars. These connect to your mobile phone automatically when you enter the car and route all of your calls through the car's audio system.
Other in-car applications include GPS navigation systems and in-car computers.
